Frankly By Bob 'Red' 2022

Handpicked from the certified organic Windowrie Vineyard in Canowindra & from the Freeman vineyard in Hilltops, practicing organics. Graciano, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon. The Graciano was treated as 100% wholebunch and undergoes a semi-carbonic maceration for 2 weeks. The Merlot component was 30% wholebunch and undergoes a 3 week maceration. The Cabernet was destemmed with a tiny bit of wholebunches in the bottom of the tank for a 3 week maceration. The resulting wines are then siphoned & pressed to old French oak for 10 months. Bottled unfiltered and without additions. The wine spent a further 2 years in bottle prior to release.

"Graciano, merlot and cabernet sauvignon. Like the rose, all of the fruit is from Hilltops and Canowindra. It's a mix of carbonic maceration and extended maceration, the best of both worlds. Increased savouriness from the longer maceration and more high tone notes from the carbonic ferments. The last release of this wine was in 2021, and a tight little number it was! 2022 is much more generous and expressive. What a delight on these cozy spring nights. Great at all temperatures, a bit chilled retains freshness and zip, while the warmer the wine the fruitier the expression." - Bob & Tom Colman
